Core Skills Training is a small group experience designed to broaden the clinical skill sets associated with each of the nine steps in the EFT therapy process. Core Skills allows participants to deepen their understanding and engagement with the skill set of each segment of the series through hands-on, individualized guidance from the EFT Trainers. Approximately two steps are focused on in each weekend through a blend of didactic information, experiential practice exercises, a live demonstration with a couple, and supervision/case consultation.

All of these events are from 12:00-6:30 on Friday and from 9:00-3:30 on Saturday.
NOTE:
Orlando times are slightly different, as indicated above.

Fee is $425.00

Emotionally Focused Family Therapy Training
February 10-11, 2017
with Gail Palmer MSW, RMFT and Dr. Jim Furrow, Ph.D

Location: Atlanta Marriott Century Center
Sponsored by the Atlanta Center for EFT

Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) offers new insights and practical strategies for restoring relationships and strengthening the security of essential family ties. Based upon the empirically supported, attachment-based practice of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, EFFT combines both systemic and experiential interventions to mend broken bonds and heal fractured families.

EFFT therapists focus on the emotional experience within a family and the problem patterns that block family members from accessing the resources they would otherwise share. A primary goal of EFFT is to reduce problematic behavior by creating new patterns of emotional accessibility and responsiveness that offer a secure base for children to develop and families to thrive.

EFFT provides a practical approach to engaging families at an emotional level. As family members work through relational distress and past injuries, new patterns emerge, creating opportunities for deeper bonds and greater felt security. Accessing, processing, and connecting family members through the power of emotional experience promotes healing and fosters a family’s resilience to the everyday and unexpected challenges of life.
